  Please can we all have a go at describing and celebrating our different NEW IDENTITIES, versus our OLD WBTS IDENTITY?

  at one time most of us here identified as jws who follow the wbts gb/fds who claim to follow the bible etc.

  some of us are journeying to a new identity, others may feel they already have a new identity.. although we likely have gone in many different directions, we share a common past which only ex-members can really understand and explain.

  please could we each respectfully share and celebrate our unique perspectives of where we have come from, and where we each are now at on this journey?.

  well worth a watch.

  nick xenophon, a senator with a particular interest in cults and an opponent of scientology in australia gave the opening remarks for one of the sessions.

  this is the first session of the conference, check out the other videos too.. .

  2011 Jubilee Year For Watchtower Apostates.

  2011 will go down in history as a year of unfavorable news, a year of destructive criticism against the watchtower organization.. a constant barrage of bad press has put the org.

  in a defensive mode.some of the top stories that are troublesome and loudly resonating through " the ivory towers" will continue to haunt them in the coming year.1.... the australian dilemma.

  watchtower deliberately not complying with a law ordering all ministers to have a background check.next court hearing feb. 21, 20122... the cruel punishment of shunning now being examined and questioned by some countries around the world.brazil, france, russia.3... the july 15, 2011 watchtower magazine brazenly stating that apostates are mental diseased!

  and it does not disappoint.

  the first century brothers are on the cover, going door to door with what look like leather messenger bags.. the first article is entitled, are all "christians" christian.

  and you can tell by the picture that anyone with a beard or goatee is definitely not a real christian.. the next article, remain in my word has this quote that condemns catholics but seems eerily close to what jws believe:.

  there's an article in the new public edition entitled, "should you trust your first impressions?".

  in the article there's the sub-headings, "judging by appearance" and "appearances can be deceptive".

  the main import of the article is to impress upon the non-jw to not pre-judge jws based on pre-convieved notions.
